Currently I hold the position of Program Director of the Human Service Provider/Substance Abuse Counseling program at Weatherford College teaching students perusing their education to work in the field of substance abuse counseling. Some students are contemplating continuing even higher education. I have recently embarked on an undertaking to start a private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and became affiliated with Lovell Counseling Services in Stephenville. I have worked in the helping industry, in many different capacities and areas of service, for over 20 years and worked as a Licensed Master Social Worker for 18 years after graduating from University of Texas Arlington in 2001. My professional journey has led me into the domestic violence arena helping those that have been effected by family/domestic violence, substance abuse with co-occurring disorders, families of people with substance use disorders, and into the treatment of those that have been incarcerated in the Texas Department of Corrections. Helping people find their solutions to life problems has been the most rewarding endeavors of my life and has led the charge to an evaluation in my perspective and beliefs that one could only imagine.I offer in person and telehealth appointments to better serve the needs of our clients. I feel blessed each day that I am entrusted to share in the pain of growth with individuals looking for freedom from their life’s fears and frustrations. I am a son to loving parents that long passed, a brother, father, grandfather. Great-grandfather, teacher, administrator, mentor, friend and a dedicated citizen and compassionate counselor/advocate for those in need of help. I am honored and privileged to be of service.
